The MXS 5.0 offers a unique eight-step approach to battery care. This fully automatic, microprocessor-controlled charger features a built-in automatic temperature sensor and advanced charging modes, making it the fastest, most effective, and versatile consumer charger CTEK has ever made. Alligator clamps and eyelets are included. Designed for 12V vehicle and motorcycle batteries, it provides automatic charging, maintenance, and a reconditioning mode.
The MXS 5.0 is ideal for users with multiple vehicle types or high-demand battery maintenance needs. It includes a special reconditioning function for stratified and deeply discharged batteries, maintenance charging, and support for demanding AGM batteries such as Optima. The unit is splash- and dustproof, non-sparking, reverse polarity protected, and short-circuit proof. Delivered with a 5-year warranty, it provides an outstanding charging experience. In the NPD car collection we cant drive every one of the vehicles every day. So we have dozens upon dozens of batteries, both classic and modern, on chargers/maintainers at any given time. Since switching over solely to CTEK brand charges/maintainers our battery failure rate has dropped to nearly zero. The batteries are a mix of lead acid, AGM and gel cell and they all continue to perform every time we put them back into a car. Considering the high costs of batteries these days, the small premium paid for a CTEK brand maintainer most certainly pays for itself exponentially.
