Fan Switch And Relay. The Davies Craig Mechanical Thermatic Fan Switch and Relay controls electric fan operation by sensing coolant temperature after the engine block and before the radiator. It activates the fan thermally and also when the air conditioning system is running, ensuring vital cooling performance and maintaining optimal engine temperatures under varying conditions.
Construction and Appearance. This kit features a stainless steel sensor probe designed to fit inside a 6mm radiator hose olive, combined with a durable mechanical thermal switch. The relay is rated at 40 amps 12 volts. All components including the relay and fuse come with a practical bracket and wiring accessories, designed for reliable engine bay installation.
Installation. Installation requires mounting the thermal switch near the radiator and fitting the stainless steel probe into the radiator hose. Basic mechanical skills are needed; mounting hardware is included. Minimal drilling may be required depending on vehicle setup.
Application. Designed for universal fitment with some adaptation required depending on vehicle installation parameters. Suitable for use with Thermatic fans and electric water pumps operating at 12 volts by default. For 24-volt systems, a separate relay must be purchased.
