These new backing plates are replicas of the factory original backing plates installed on the driver and passenger rear wheel wells to support the quarter panel inserts. These plates weld to the rear wheel wells. They provide a backing for the quarter panel inserts to prevent them from pushing too far inward into the quarter panel cavity. This kit includes six brackets which is enough for both sides.
